On October 10, 2022, on the 229th day of the war, Ukrainians again experienced the fears of the first days of the invasion, but already much stronger and more painful.
As a result of the shelling of the capital with high-precision missiles in the very heart of Kyiv, objects of cultural heritage and tourist magnets, which definitely do not belong to critical or military infrastructure, were damaged.
The sad list included monuments, museums, cultural locations, parks, and educational institutions. Among them are the National Museum "Kyiv Painting Gallery", the monument to M. Hrushevskyi, the red building of the University named after T. Shevchenko, park named after Т. Shevchenko, pedestrian and bicycle glass bridge and others.
This shows that the enemy aims not only to damage the cultural heritage, but to destroy the 1,500-year history of the city of Kyiv.
