Hydropark

Hydropark is a recreation and entertainment park situated on Venetian and Dolobetskyi Islands between the Dnieper and the Rusanivka Channel. The park was created on the site of the former Peredmostova Slobidka Quarter destroyed in 1943 during the occupation of Kyiv. Available entertainment includes a large number of beaches (including a children’s beach, a beach for the disabled, a nude beach), boat rentals, catamarans, ping-pong and tennis courts, paintball, football, volleyball, water park, restaurants, casinos, discos.

Sovky Park

According to historians, the Treasure Forest once occupied almost the entire territory of Sviatoshyn, and the territory of the Sovky Park is a small part of the former Treasure Forest. About 168,000 trees of various species grow here. The park’s plantations are mostly conifers, 80% of which is pine, the rest is deciduous trees. There are sports grounds and 2 children’s playgrounds, a football pitch, and a Mowgli Rope Park.

How to get there: at Sviatoshyn metro station, take the bus 461 to Akademika Kypriianova Street stop, or the trolley bus 41 to Buddetal stop.

Muromets Park

The former Friendship of Peoples Park is a real central park of Ukraine. This giant of the park occupying of 219 hectares is located between two commuter towns of the city: Obolon and Troieshchyna.

Here, you can rent a kayak, a boat, wakeboard and a sup board, enjoy a horse ride, and just breathe in the freshness of the ancient trees.

How to get there: at Pochaina metro station, take any public transport going to Troieshchyna — the stop you need is named Park Druzhby Narodiv.

Eco Path in the Holosiivskyi Park

Enjoy walking? Then, Eco Path in the Holosiivskyi Park is what you need. You will walk under the crowns of majestic oaks, find out about its most interesting inhabitants, solve riddles and complete the route at the ponds. The length of the route is 2.7 km.

How to get there: it’s within walking distance from Holosiivska metro station.

Bike ride in the Feofania Park

The bike route that stretches between the park and the Muromets Island is great for spending time with friends or family.

It is best to enter the park from the side of the North Bridge or from the southern part of the Trukhaniv Island.

How to get there: by your own vehicle, or by bus 444 from Druzhby Narodiv metro station.

Central Beach on the Trukhaniv Island

You can play Frisbee, have a picnic by the water or swim in the Central Beach. And you can also watch the sunset and have a look at Podil in the evening.

How to get there: the nearest metro station is Maidan Nezalezhnosti, then walk across the Pedestrian Bridge to the Trukhaniv Island.
