Mountain garden

The "Mountain Garden" exhibition area of the botanical garden creates a stunning representation of mountainous landscapes through its unique vegetation, terrain, and stone features. Spanning 1.5 hectares, this meticulously designed landscape complex was constructed between 1971 and 1974. The Mountain Garden encompasses not only the mountainous area but also several hills adorned with lush green lawns.

Significant renovations took place from 1995 to 2004, enhancing this exhibition area. During this period, stonework was reinforced, soil was added, an artificial pond was created, and a fence was installed. The Mountain Garden is home to a collection of 142 species of ornamental plants, including 17 families of herbaceous plants and 9 families of woody plants, many of which are rare and unique.

Visitors often enjoy leisurely walks here, as the Mountain Garden is situated on one of the highest points of the botanical garden, offering a breathtaking view of the Dnipro River.
