A monument to the Ukrainian writer, public figure and the founder of modern Ukrainian literature, Ivan Kotliarevskyi, was erected in the park at the intersection of Yuriia Illienka and Hertsena Streets in 1975. The authors of the sculpture are Halyna Kalchenko and Anatolii Ihnashchenko. The monument is a bronze bust of the poet, installed on a column pedestal decorated with bas-reliefs based on the works by Ivan Kotliarevskyi.
