Landscape Alley

Landscape Alley

The construction of Landscape Alley, which later became famous for its bright sculptures, was timed to celebrate the 1500th anniversary of Kyiv. Laid out in the early 1980s to the design of the architect Avraam Miletskyi, the Alley was considered a part of the historical and architectural preserve Old Kyiv, but, unfortunately, became its only completed site.

In 2007–2009, the sculptor Kostiantyn Skrytutskyi was engaged in the artistic arrangement of the Landscape Alley. 15% of the funds for the construction of numerous mosaic and ceramic figures, whimsical benches, and fountains were collected by residents of the surrounding buildings. The rest was donated by sponsors. The sightseeing platforms along the Alley offer amazing views of Podil, the Dnieper, and green hills of natural tracts.

There is also the Monument to Prince Sviatoslav of Kyiv, the only one in the city entirely made of stone.
