Volodymyrska Hirka (st. Volodymyr Hill) Park

Volodymyrska Hirka (st. Volodymyr Hill) Park

It is situated in the centre of Kyiv in the historical area of St. Michael’s Hill, from where beautiful panoramas of the city open. St. Volodymyr Hill began to be called Volodymyrska Hirka in the mid-19th century when a monument to Volodymyr the Great, which is currently the oldest sculpture in Kyiv, was erected there, and a park was laid out.

Following the reconstruction in 2019, St. Volodymyr Hill was connected to the European Square by a bicycle and pedestrian bridge. At present, there are many recreation places in the park, the Kokorivska summerhouse has been preserved since 1898, and the monument to Dante Alighieri has been erected. Many Kyiv school graduates meet the dawn in a romantic park after the prom.
