Kyiv and E-ticket

All public transport uses a single electronic ticket. This means that you don't need to look for different coupons or tokens for buses, trolleybuses, trams and the metro.

It is enough to buy a Kyiv Digital transport card or a QR ticket.

1. What is a one-time QR ticket?

QR tickets have replaced piles of tokens and individual travel tickets. They are valid for 15 days and are designed for those who use transport infrequently.

A one-time QR ticket can be used in printed form or from a smartphone screen.

2. Where can I buy it?

QR tickets can be purchased in the:

Kyiv Digital app
Kyiv Digital terminals
metro ticket offices
self-service boxes and the EasyPay portal.

All points of sale can be found on this map.

3. How to use it?

To use a QR ticket, you will need a validator - a reader that is available at turnstiles in the subway and in every public transport cabin:

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine checks persons crossing the state border on the basis of valid documents for the right to enter or leave the territory of Ukraine. The passage of vehicles, cargo, goods and other property across the border is carried out in accordance with the current legislation and international treaties of Ukraine.

Here is a link to a video tutorial on how to scan a QR ticket correctly.

Only payment confirmation on the validator is proof for the controller that the ticket has been used. The ticket will be automatically deleted 2 hours after use, and the record of use will be saved in the update feed.

4. How do I show it to the controller?

To provide the QR ticket for verification to the controller:

Open the screen with the used QR ticket.
Present the QR ticket to the controller for scanning.

The controller will scan the ticket with the reader to verify the fare payment.
