We invite you to a virtual tour - "Serhiy Lifar. Life for dance". It's dedicated to a famous Ukrainian ballet dancer and choreographer, ballet master of the Paris Opera, and founder of the neoclassical style in ballet.
Like many Ukrainians, when Bolsheviks seized power in Kyiv, Serhiy Lifar was forced to leave Ukraine. He moved to Paris. Here, in Paris, the hardworking young man raised to the top of the world ballet and became a welcome guest at the first stages of the World. But the dream to perform in Kyiv, at home, never came true.
During the tour, you will learn about Serge Lifar's childhood and youth years in Kyiv, his first steps in ballet and life in Paris. Our guide Natalia Lykhytska will dip you into the atmosphere of Kyiv in the early 20th century.
The tour will be conducted by NATALIA LYKHYTSKA, a researcher at the National Historical Museum of Ukraine and an experienced tour guide.
