Bulgakov Literary and Memorial Museum

This exposition presents key events of the city’s twentieth century history: from the beginning of the Ukrainian Revolution for independence in 1917 to the restoration of independence in 1991. Here, the ideology of occupation regimes; terror, resistance and collaboration; and destruction of the urban environment and public relations remains very relevant for contemporary Ukraine

This museum focuses on the Ukrainian intelligentsia of the 1960s, which resisted the Soviet system. The museum reveals the stories of those whose professional career was damaged, who lost their loved ones, and whose own health suffered because of their beliefs. Here, the permanent exhibition “The cabinet of Viacheslav Chornovil” is displayed.
