The ensemble of ceramic panels on the exterior of the House of National Creative Teams of Ukraine was created by the renowned ceramic artist Olha Rapai–Markish between 1985 and 1987. Three ornamental compositions of flowers and birds, placed on the 4th and 5th floors, are harmoniously integrated with the large-scale panel on the ground floor. With her signature mastery and unique vision of form and meaning, the artist rendered motifs of Ukrainian folklore on decorative glazed tiles, drawing inspiration from Petrykivka painting and incorporating whimsical creatures reminiscent of the celebrated artist Mariia Pryimachenko.
The ensemble of ceramic panels on the House of National Creative Teams of Ukraine has been granted the status of a newly identified cultural heritage site (monumental art).
