The National Technical University of Ukraine “Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” was founded in 1898. Over the years of its operation, it has trained almost 370,000 specialists, of whom over 60,000 within the years of Ukraine’s independence. Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is one of the largest educational institutions in Europe. Almost 25,000 students, postgraduates and doctoral students study there, including foreign students from countries near and far abroad. Every sixth student in Kyiv gets education at KPI, every twenty-fifth professor and associate professor in Ukraine is a KPI teacher, every fifth faculty and department of Ukraine’s HEIs is that of KPI.
KPI is among 4% top world universities, according to the QS and Webometrics International Rankings. It annually holds the highest positions among the best higher educational establishments of Ukraine, according to Compas and TOP-200 Ukraine rankings.
