The "Korean Traditional Garden" exhibition at the National Botanical Garden opened at the end of 2012, celebrating the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea. This enchanting garden features a stunning pagoda, built by skilled craftsmen from Korea, along with a wall adorned with gates that partially enclose the garden area. The design of the pagoda was inspired by the "Aeryundjun" pavilion located in the Changdeok Palace in Seoul, and its intricate decorations were meticulously crafted by hand.
Adding to the garden's charm, the walls are embellished with decorative murals, also painted by hand, showcasing the "Four Gracious Noble Plants": bamboo, orchid, plum, and chrysanthemum. The creation of this garden was made possible through the financial and organizational support of the Korean Corporation of Land and Community Resources, the Government of Korea, and the Embassy of Korea in Ukraine.
The Korean Garden is a serene and inviting space where visitors can immerse themselves in the authentic atmosphere of Korean culture and enjoy a moment of relaxation.
