The Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, founded in 1632, is one of the oldest educational institutions in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. It was the center of education, science and culture, which influenced the development of Ukraine and Eastern Europe. The modern National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy positions itself as a successor of the traditions of the historical academy, located in Podil in Kyiv.
