The vertical composition of the mosaic “Ukrainian Song” (1967, created by artists Stepan Kyrychenko and Nadiia Klein) depicts three figures: a dancing woman, a bandurist, and a Hutsul flute player. On both sides, the work is ornamented with three flowers inspired by traditional folk painting. The theme can be interpreted as a representation of two elements in the Ukrainian song: the first — epic, and the second — romantic and lyrical.
The mosaic panel “Ukrainian Song” is a newly identified cultural heritage site (monumental art). It has suffered significant material losses. In 2019, artists Mykhailo Kyrychenko and Fedir Hryhorov reconstructed the missing fragment — the woman’s head and her right hand — but installation work did not take place due to lack of funding.
