About the place
The Holosiivskyi National Nature Park with an area of over 4,500 hectares was laid out in 2007. It included the Holosiivskyi Forest, M. Rylskyi Holosiivskyi Park, Teremky tract, Bychok, and Lisnyky (Foresters) reserve. Holosiivskyi Park is the only National Nature Park in Ukraine located in the metropolis.
More than 90% of its area is covered with forests, where about 650 species of plants grow, including red book and regionally rare plants. There are swamps, a cascade of lakes, a small river and 2 systems of ravines.
There are the Holy Trinity and the Holy Intercession monasteries in its territory, the Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, a fragment of the Kyiv Fortified District, a number of monuments and sculptures.
