Orangery complex

The Orangery complex of the National Botanical Garden showcases a vibrant collection of exotic tropical and subtropical plants, covering an impressive area of over 2,000 square meters. Notably, the exhibition of azaleas and camellias ranks second in Europe for its diversity, featuring 30 varieties of azaleas and 15 varieties of camellias. Among these, the Indian azalea stands out as a unique specimen not found in any other botanical garden in Ukraine.

Additionally, the "Orchidarium" exhibition within the Orangery complex displays around 80 species and varieties of orchids from Southeast Asia, South and Central America, Africa, and Australia. Visitors can also explore a collection of tropical and subtropical fruit plants, which includes citrus, feijoa, mango, fig, persimmon, and pomegranate, with many of these plants being over 50 years old.

Completing the experience is a captivating exhibition of cacti, featuring 50 different species. The unique collection of exotic plants in the Orangery complex immerses visitors in the enchanting atmosphere of a tropical forest.
