Telbin Lake

Located on the left bank of Kyiv in the residential area of Bereznyaky, Telbin Lake captivates visitors with its stunning beauty and unique atmosphere. From above, the lake resembles the shape of a boomerang, stretching 670 meters long and 450 meters wide, with depths ranging from 7 to 13 meters. It is considered one of the largest lakes in the capital, surrounded by picturesque shores adorned with lush greenery and high trees.

This serene spot is perfect for relaxation at any time of the year. Whether you’re sitting on a bench or riding a bicycle, you can take in the tranquil water surface. Thanks to a comprehensive system of streams and underground springs that feed the lake, its waters are naturally self-purifying, characterized by exceptional clarity and transparency.

However, excessive human activity began to take a toll on the lake’s ecosystem. In 2017, a unique aeration system was installed, featuring underwater aerators that further purify the water and enrich it with oxygen. These innovative devices come equipped with sensors that monitor key water indicators, including temperature, acidity, and microflora. The system actively circulates the upper warm and lower cold layers of water, helping to regulate temperature and prevent the growth of harmful microorganisms.

As part of the aeration project, a light and musical fountain was also installed in the lake, providing a stunning evening display that enhances the lake's charm.
