The "Defenders of the Borders" monument in Peremoha (Victory) Park was unveiled on May 28, 2013. At its center stands a 2.7-meter tall sculpture of a border guard with a dog, with the entire structure, including the pedestal, reaching 5.7 meters in height and weighing about 2 tonsThe park features several additional war-themed sculptures, including the "Mother-Widow" monument, the "People of Victory" composition, and a poignant statue of a mother bidding farewell to her son as he goes off to war. The main landmark of the park is the "Mound of Immortality," opened in 1967, which honors the fallen heroes of World War II. The mound is formed from soil collected from soldiers' graves across various locations after the war.
