Parkova doroga (Park road)

Parkova Doroga, or Park Road, is a street in the Pecherskyi district of Kyiv that stretches from Magdeburg Rights Alley to Dnipro Descent and St. Andrew's Square. The street has been known since the second half of the 19th century as Kozlovsky Street, named after the local landlords. At that time, Kozlovsky Street occupied only part of what is now Park Road. In 1915, Dr. Kozlovsky established a hospital here for children suffering from polio.

In 1927, the street was extended, and in 1963, it received its modern name in honor of the parks that flank it. One notable feature along Park Road is the lower semicircular retaining wall of the Kyiv Fortress, which has been recognized as a national architectural monument since 1979. In the 2010s, a congress and exhibition center was built on Park Road, notable for its helicopter landing pad.
