Pedestrian Bridge

The Pedestrian Bridge is the only pedestrian bridge across the Dnieper in Kyiv, connecting the Trukhaniv Island and the embankment near the Monument to the Magdeburg Rights. This is a 429-metre long suspended bridge built in 1956–1957. A point of 26 metres above the water offers wonderful views of Podil, the Dnieper, the bank with a number of monuments, and stunning sunsets.

In 2015, the 7-metre lane of the bridge was divided into pedestrian and bicycle sections, and it became part of the capital’s first bicycle route. In 2017, the bridge was reconstructed by laying a special coating and installing reinforced railings. In good weather, one can enjoy rope jumping here. The bridge is a favourite place among Kyivites for walks and meetings.
