Rusaniv Embankment is a picturesque street stretching 1.5 kilometers along the Dnipro River in the Dniprovskyi district of Kyiv, within the Rusanivka housing estate. It runs from the Paton Bridge to Yevhen Sverstyuk Street. The street first emerged in the early 1960s under the name Nova and was renamed in 1962.
On one side, the embankment is lined with residential buildings, while the other features a lush park zone and the shore of the Rusaniv Strait. This area is perfect for outdoor hiking and biking, offering a calm and cozy atmosphere. No matter the season, you’ll find mothers with strollers, athletes, families enjoying leisurely walks, and lovebirds on romantic outings. It’s an ideal spot to spend time with friends, walk your pet, or simply unwind in solitude.
Rusaniv Embankment is also considered the main gastronomic hub of Kyiv. Both along the residential side and within the park area, you’ll find dozens of shops and restaurants catering to a variety of tastes and budgets. Locals and visitors love to relax in cozy cafes with stunning views of the Dnipro. The picturesque scenery of the right bank, combined with the river’s majestic flow, creates a unique ambiance for relaxation. In the evenings, you can savor the enchanting sunset along the embankment.
