The green oasis of Rusanivska Embankment is its beautiful park area. Rusaniv Park spans 17.74 hectares along the banks of the Rusaniv Strait of the Dnipro. Its coastal section can be considered a small relict forest, a remnant of the area’s natural landscape.
In 2011 and 2017, the park underwent major renovations, transforming it into a modern, well-maintained, and inviting space. The park features restored pathways, a unique willow alley, and various green spaces, along with benches, bicycle paths, children's and sports playgrounds, recreation areas, and vibrant flower beds.
The park's architectural highlight is the striking rotunda, which is positioned along Rusaniv Boulevard, directly across from the monument to the renowned writer Mykola Gogol. On weekends, you might even hear the joyful sounds of a live brass band performing in this area.
The park also boasts a beach zone known as "Rusanivska Kosa," where many people come to sunbathe and swim during the summer months. The Dnipro is shallow here, allowing yellow pitcher plants and water caltrops, both listed in the Red Book of Ukraine, to flourish along the shoreline. Wild ducks and swans are frequently spotted near the park, and in winter, the area attracts numerous ice fishing enthusiasts.
