The water tower, built in the 1950s based on a design by the Kyivproekt Institute, is a cylindrical brick structure standing 30 meters high. Inside, concrete stairs lead up to the top, though the roof was destroyed in a fire, and the entrance has since been sealed. Despite its current state, the tower once played a vital role in regulating water pressure in the supply network. It offers a stunning view of Kyiv from its summit. As a valuable example of mid-20th-century industrial architecture, the water tower holds the status of a local architectural and urban planning monument. Similar towers can be found in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi, Solomianskyi, and Pecherskyi districts.
