The Park is situated in the centre of Kyiv in the historical area of St. Michael’s Hill, from where beautiful panoramas of the city open. The Hill began to be called Volodymyrska Hirka in the mid-19th century when a monument to Volodymyr the Great was erected there, which is currently the oldest sculpture in Kyiv, and a park was laid out.
Following the reconstruction in 2019, St. Volodymyr Hill was connected to European Square by the bicycle and pedestrian bridge. At present, there are many recreation places there, the Kokorivska summerhouse has been preserved since 1898, and the monument to Dante Alighieri has been erected.
