Volodymyrska Hill Park, spanning 10.6 hectares, is located in the heart of Kyiv, in the historic Mykhailivska Hill area, which once belonged to St. Michael’s Monastery, where monks cultivated grapes. The park became a prominent part of the landscape in the 19th century, when it was developed and a monument to Prince Volodymyr the Great was erected.
Following its 2019 renovation, Volodymyrska Hill was connected to European Square by a pedestrian and bike bridge. The park still retains the historic Kokoriv Gazebo from 1898, along with newer additions like a monument to Dante Alighieri and a fountain featuring a sculpture of St. Michael the Archangel. The park now offers numerous recreational spots with stunning city views. It's also a beloved location where Kyiv's schoolchildren often gather at dawn to celebrate their prom night.
