The mosaic panel “Pottery” is located on the building at 50 Vaclav Havel Boulevard. At the center of the composition stands the figure of a potter; to his left is the figure of a woman, surrounded by pottery items. This monumental work on a folk theme is a remarkable example of the so-called end-grain mosaic technique and its original execution (a low relief combined with mosaic). Its authors — Kyiv artists Valerii Karas, Ivan Apollonov, and Oleksandr Dolotin — created in the late 1960s a cycle entitled “Creativity” consisting of four monumental works, one of which is the “Pottery” panel (a newly identified cultural heritage object of monumental art). The panel has suffered significant material losses.

КНП Київська міська клінічна лікарня № 18 починає свою історію з 1885 року, коли було споруджено двоповерховий корпус факультетської хірургії та терапевтичної клініки на 50 ліжок, які належали університету Святого Володимира.
В 1888 році поряд з’явився акушерсько-гінекологічний клінічний корпус.
В 1899 році вступили до ладу прибудови до корпусу в яких розмістились інфекційні пологові ліжка, гінекологічні палати, відділення водолікування, бібліотека. Завершенням клінічного ансамблю стало спорудження в 1894 році корпусу патологоанатомічного інституту.

The Sixth Male or Lukianivka Gymnasium was founded in 1908. At first, training took place in the rented estate of General Pyshenkov, located at the current address at 16 Yuriia Illienka Street. And later, the institution got its own premises. It was a two-story modern building erected in 1912–1913 by Petr Zhukov to the design of Aleksandr Kobelev, who also designed the building of the Polytechnic Institute and the National Bank of Ukraine. The 7th Zemstvo hospital also functioned at the gymnasium. Now, the premises are occupied by one of the buildings of the Kyiv National University of Economics.
