The building located at the corner of Andriivskyi Descent and Borychiv Tik was constructed at the request of burgher I. Ohloblyn. It was built under the supervision of architect P. Sparro, presumably based on his own design. The house is two storeys high, brick-built, and U-shaped in plan. The façades are executed in the brick style characteristic of the period.
From 1899 to 1919, the building was home to Oleksandr Petrovych Ohloblyn (1899–1992) — a historian, professor, public figure, and later President of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts and Sciences in the USA (from 1970).
