The huge water and entertainment complex with an area of over 300 hectares was opened in the 60s of the 20th century on the territory of Venetian and Dolobetsky islands. There are several beaches (Children's, Golden, Youth, Venice, for people with disabilities, nudist), cafes, restaurants, clubs, water transport rental, attractions, tennis courts, playgrounds and sports, including the famous ‘Rocking Chair’, which is called the toughest outdoor playground in the world. The Hydropark also houses the Kyiv in Miniature museum, which features small-scale replicas of the capital's most famous landmarks.
