The building of the current Mala Opera was built in 1902 by architect Mykhailo Artynov for the Lukianivka People's House; it housed a free library, an outpatient clinic, and an educational center. Since 2006, the Kyiv Mala Opera has become a creative space for the implementation of creative ideas in various fields: theater performances, theater and concert programs, conferences, presentations, concerts, festivals, and exhibitions.
