The theater was founded in 1987 by a group of young actors led by director M. Karasev and director O. Rakita under the name Arena of Evening Kyiv (Arena VK). In 2021, the theater rebranded, created its own identity, and updated its social media pages. In 2022, the theater's staff launched the Sublimation project, in which they read, stage works, plays, and performances based on materials by contemporary authors on the topic of war in Ukraine.
