The Expo Center, originally named the "Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy" (VDNG), opened on July 6, 1958. Its construction took six years, with leading architects, artists, and sculptors contributing to the design of its pavilions. The facades are adorned with monumental bas-reliefs of pig farmers and shepherds, symbolizing the accomplishments of agriculture and industry.
Covering 287 hectares, the Expo Center features over 180 buildings and structures, 19 of which are recognized as historical and cultural monuments of Ukraine. Today, it serves as a venue for large international agro-industrial exhibitions, as well as music festivals and various entertainment events.
VDNG has transformed into a cultural and innovation hub, offering leisure activities for the entire family. It boasts Ukraine's largest urban park, a Science Museum, bike rentals, an ice rink, a swimming pool, a stable, and over 20 entertainment venues. The Expo Center can accommodate more than 50,000 visitors at once.
