Orihuvatski ponds

The cascade of four Orihuvatskі ponds forms the true heart of M. Rylskyi Park. These ponds are connected by the small Orihuvatka River, which starts in the Holosiivsky Forest near the Expo Center and flows into the Lybid River after a gentle 4-kilometer journey.

In 2012, a floating musical fountain was installed on the first pond, near the park’s entrance. Equipped with 63 nozzles and 53 LED lights, the fountain operates in four modes: "Cone," "Geyser," "Herringbone," and "Whirligig." Along the shore, you’ll find a boat and catamaran rental station, as well as several restaurants.

The other ponds are a peaceful spot for fishermen and home to wild ducks. The hydraulic structures at these ponds are well-maintained, ensuring a steady water level. The ponds are regularly stocked, meaning that, in addition to the usual crucian, redfin and perch, you might reel in a carp or silver carp.
