It is located in the center of Kyiv in the historical area of ​​Mykhailivska gorka, from where beautiful views of the city open. Volodymyrska gorka became in the middle of the 19th century, when a park was laid out here and a monument to Volodymyr the Great was installed, which is currently the oldest sculpture in the capital.

After reconstruction in 2019, Volodymyrska gorka was connected to European Square by a bicycle and pedestrian bridge. Now its territory is equipped with many places for recreation, the Kokorivska gazebo of 1898 has been preserved, and a monument to Dante Alighieri has been installed. Many Kyiv schoolchildren meet the dawn in the romantic park after the graduation ball.
