This bridge over Volodymyrskyi Uzviz is the youngest bridge in Kyiv, 216 meters long, connecting Khreshchatyi Park and Volodymyrska Gora. It was opened on Kyiv Day in May 2019 by the current mayor of the city, Vitaliy Klitschko. Therefore, the bridge is often called the “Klychko Bridge”. The materials used during the construction are 90% of domestic origin. In particular, the metal was produced at the famous Mariupol plant “Azovstal”.
The bridge is equipped with observation decks with glass inserts in the floor, from which a breathtaking panorama of the Dnieper and the Left Bank opens. It is one of the best places to meet the dawn in the capital. On October 10, 2022, the bridge was subjected to a missile attack by Russian aggressors. Kyiv residents consider it symbolic that the Kyiv bridge, unlike the Kerch bridge, survived despite the damage.
