Twenty Ukrainian playwrights created a new theater. The Theater of Playwrights is a natural response to the underestimation of the role of the author in Ukrainian society. We negotiated among ourselves for a long time and agreed:

• The artistic director of the theater must be a playwright;
• Responsibility for the quality of the performance is assigned to the author of the play;
• Within the framework of his term, the artistic director undertakes to choose relevant Ukrainian plays for staging and introduce important but underestimated texts of the past;
• The rotation of artistic directors is inevitable;
• The key issues of the theater development are resolved by voting;
• The author of the play hires a director or stages the play himself;
• The Theater of Playwrights contributes to the development of new theatrical criticism, creates conditions for free discussion of the most complex issues of our time;
• We are interested in the progress of all theater authors in Ukraine. The repertoire of the Theater of Playwrights should be formed by at least 50 percent of the performances of authors who are not among the founders;
• All current issues of the functioning and financing of the theatrical process should be resolved taking into account the principle of trust in the author, granting him the right to experiment;
• Donors, patrons, members of the supervisory board cannot influence the artistic policy of the theater;
• The request of the public is not a criterion for the selection of plays;
• Preference is given to original texts. In the case of the playwright's appeal to well-known plots, it is forbidden to build a marketing strategy on classic titles;
• In the Theater of Playwrights, all theater professionals are respected, everyone should receive fair remuneration
