The theater, as we know it now, officially opened on December 21, 1990, with the play I Am Always Your Bride by Otar Ioseliani. Today, the Left Bank Theater has more than 50 productions in its repertoire, a busy premiere schedule, a star cast of the country's best actors, and big plans for the future that will definitely be realized. In February 2019, a new team came to the theater: artistic director Stas Zhirkov (who led the theater until November 2022) and chief director Tamara Trunova. On March 09, 2022, the play Bad Roads, which she directed, won the Shevchenko Prize in the Theater Arts nomination in 2022. In 2023, Olesia Zhurakivska became the director and artistic director of the theater, who brilliantly plays the main role in the play “Corsican Woman”.
