The memorial complex contains a museum exhibition about the Ukrainian dimension of World War II. It is also a venue for solemn commemorative events dedicated to modern defenders of Ukraine.

The heart of the Memorial is the monument "Motherland", erected in 1981. It consists of a 40-meter pedestal and a 62-meter figure of a woman with a sword and shield in her hands. The total height is 102 m, weight is 540 tons. The unique engineering sculpture is among the top 10 tallest monuments in Europe.

During the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation, the Museum focused on covering the events of the modern Russian-Ukrainian war. While exploring the memorial complex with an area of ​​11 hectares, you can now visit:

  • Multimedia martyrology of the fallen children. Upper Moscow Gate of the 18th century. Pechersk Fortress
  • Exhibition Hall of the Lower Moscow Gate
