Good morning to those who visit my city! I am the best city on Earth called Kyiv.

I have an interesting and ancient history. You can explore it through literature and poetry, by walking and admiring my landscapes, or you can visit thematic museums and relive distant centuries during seeing exhibitions. Sounds interesting? Then this top of museums to explore me and my history is definitely for you.

Let's start with something new - the Museum of Ukrainian nation formation. It opened its exhibition halls quite recently, but it has already made a lot of noise with its innovation and manufacturability. Imagine the times and events presented in different thematic halls, it is even possible to smell them. The museum is located in the foothills of the Motherland Monument, on the territory of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War.

Did you know, my dear researcher, that in the world ranking of the tallest statues in the world, my Motherland Monument is in the top ten? The Monument itself has two observation platforms with a magnificent view of the Dnieper river and the left bank. There are other scenic viewpoints where you can contemplate my beauty and you can read about them in the "I am an observer" section.

The entire memorial site is located on an area of over 11 hectares. Here you can see weapons, military equipment, and aviation, not only from the Second World War but also from the war in Afghanistan and even from the ATO zone in Eastern Ukraine. Also, sculptural compositions "Assault-crossing of the Dnieper" ("Forsuvannia Dnipra"), "Arms transfer" ("Peredacha zbroi") and high-relief compositions " Heroes of the front line and rear area" ("Heroi frontu i tylu") will not leave anyone indifferent.

Nowadays, DarkTourism is a fashionable trend and trips to the Chernobyl exclusion zone are very popular, but before going on a trip, I advise everyone to visit the Ukrainian National Chornobyl Museum. It is a multifunctional historical and cultural institution that combines scientific, archival, cultural, and educational activities making public the history of the nuclear accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Visit the museum and it will impress you.

Well, now let's move on from serious-historical facts to just cognitive-historical ones. Ukrainian National Chornobyl Museum is located on Podil, 1 Khoryv Lane. There is also an interesting and rather unusual museum-pharmacy not far from 7 Prytysko-Mykilska Street (this street is already familiar to us after the "I am a mystic" section).

You may ask: "What is unusual and interesting here?". And I will answer: "Well, one of the interesting things is that it was the first pharmacy on Podil and it was opened in 1728. Since then, for 110 years, medicines were not only sold here, but also manufactured. And even today there is a pharmacy on the first floor of the museum, although medicines are no longer produced here... It may be so that looking into the basement, you may be convinced of something else by what you see there".

I want to continue the medical topic and propose to move from Podil to Upper Town to B. Khmelnytskyi Street. It is here where one of the largest museums of medicine not only in Ukraine but also in Europe is located - the National Museum of Medicine of Ukraine. The museum is located in the anatomical theatre premises built in 1853 by Aleksandr Beretti at the request of Alexander Walter, professor at St. Vladimir University.

By that time, the anatomical theatre was one of the leading scientific and medical institutions in Europe, and today you can see luxurious expositions on the medical science development from the Kyivan Rus times to the present day. The museum also conducts thematic quests and even one-man performances for viewers over 16 years old.

I have many interesting museums where you can study, observe and feel history. Since we all had a childhood, in the end, I would like to tell you about a place where history is not just felt, it seems to pass through your memories, no matter how old you are and where you were born. The last piece of my museum collection is the State Museum of Toys.

The museum is located on 8 Klovski Descent. Visit it and see a collection of toys from the beginning of the last century to the present. The collection contains toys that are more than a hundred years old and exclusive items that can be seen only here. The museum exhibits an incredible collection of Christmas tree decorations during the Christmas holidays, and I am sure that all visitors at this time become small again and believe in miracles with inspiration.
